The Papercut is a literary podcast with a bias towards exploring writing from the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, which has been translated into English.

The show will mainly be conducted in English, however on occasion we plan on having shows in Arabic to showcase our favorite Arabic-speaking writers.

Hi! My name is Fatma. Avid bookreader by day, and by night too. Technically I’m also a lawyer by day too (sorry).

I’m from Muscat, Oman, but I’ve lived all over the place. When I was all over the place, I always loved being a part of a book club. So when I came back to live in Muscat, I tried to set one up, and failed several times over.

I realised that most bookworms were usually lurking on the internet. So I decided to take my idea of a book club and put it online.

You know that feeling when you just read something amazing, or horrible, and you just NEED to talk to someone about it? I want to make The Papercut that someone! Let us be your someone please (no creepiness intended).
